M. J. Solomon Productions' latest short film, Fallen Diva, was written, directed, produced and scored by award-winning screenwriter/composer Dr. Malcolm W. Rector. A surreal drama, it tells the story of a much lauded diva who abandons her family for her singing career as drugs lead her down a dark, destructive path.
Told in a manner reminiscent of Harold Pinter's Betrayal with the dreamlike quality of a David Lynch film, Fallen Diva stars Adia Ledbetter [from Wack Attack (Crack Attack)] and introduces Pamela Pinnix and Ricardo Powell. A singer in her own right with a strong background in jazz, Adia also performs both of the songs that are featured in the film.
Fallen Diva was filmed in picturesque North Carolina and is currently making the film festival circuit. To view the trailer, please click here or follow the link provided on the left.
